What to expect
The 360-degree ocean tunnel is the aquarium's signature and Florida's only walk-through tunnel of its kind, with sharks, rays and turtles passing overhead and on both sides at once. It is the one point that feels crowded at peak times.
The habitat zones run in sequence from Florida springs through mangrove and reef to open ocean, holding more than five thousand creatures across some thirty displays. The jellyfish and seahorse tanks are the ones adults linger at.
The interactive rockpool is a supervised touch tank of starfish, anemones and urchins, and it is where younger children spend the longest.
ICON Park around it holds the observation wheel, restaurants and other attractions on the same site, so the aquarium works better as part of an afternoon than as a destination on its own.
