What to expect

The trip includes a long road journey from the main north coast resorts, and the mangrove section is a worthwhile part of it rather than filler. Guides run a snorkel tour off the cay, which reviewers consistently recommend over going alone, and there is usually free time in Punta Rucia at the end.
